DesignMyGarden.ca launches on May 1st - May Day

May 1st—May Day—is an old pagan holiday that is now largely forgotten. Festivals, dances, and rituals related to agriculture and fertility were practiced by many Germanic and European countries. That's why we've chosen today to launch our new website about garden design for homeowners.
May Day is the halfway point between the first day of spring (March 21) and the Summer Solstice [also called Midsummer] (June 21). During Floralia, held on April 27, the Romans celebrated Flora, the Roman goddess of flowers.
From the 8th century onward, many European countries and especially Germany celebrated Walpurgis Night (Witches’ Night), on the eve of April 30. Happy May 1st! Happy Launch Day to Us!
